Q: Who are you?
A group for people interested in contributing and supporting the Te Atatu Peninsula Digital Makerspace in the community centre.
Q: Where are you located?
At the Te Atatu Peninsula Digital Makerspace ( 595 Te Atatu Rd). Get directions.
Q: How often do you meet?
We have regular meetings:
- Every second Monday is where the direction and admin of TAP lab is covered
- Every Tuesday is an open night for makers – no guarantees of who or what will be worked on
- Every Wednesday is Hack & Snack night – ideal for beginners and people with projects
For the latest meeting dates and special events, check out our calendar of upcoming events.
Q: Can I join?
YES … unless you are an axe wielding psycho (in which case you’ll have to check your axe at the door).
Q: Can kid come to TAP lab?
Yes, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. TAP lab isn’t a child-minding service and there are some tools which are potentially dangerous if misused.
Q: How or what can I contribute?
Time, tools, materials, knowledge, money. 01-1159-0202055-03 is the current ‘cash box’ for donations.
We are looking for people willing to teach or facilitate sessions with a digital/making focus.
Q: Who can come?
We welcome everyone but check each session for any limitations.
Q: Do you have disability access?
The library is a new building and it is fully accessible. We are working on making our space as enabling as possible and we welcome any suggestions on how we can improve!
