As a part of the ‘We Read’ Auckland Council initiative, we collaborated with the council to set the scene and immerse the community in their favourite magical world in our own little way.
This week people could come in to fill out a sorting hat quiz about things they enjoyed, situations they would face, and values they held close. After some giggles and a few surprises, each participant was told their destined Hogwarts house and given a TAP lab-made badge. They were invited to come up to TAP lab to experience the real life magic of a laser that was used to engrave their name on their badge.
The project produced a lighthearted means of interactivity and celebration of reading that both the young and old students of Hogwarts enjoyed.
